About Elisha
Hi! My name is Elisha and I'm the instructor at Happy Lines Art Studio.

I moved from China to Edmonton when I was five years old, and even from such a young age I could remember being obsessed with drawing. My parents enrolled me in different art classes throughout the years where I learned to use different mediums such as pencil, acrylics, oil paint, watercolors, and more.

In the middle of high school, I made the decision to become an animator which lead me to pursue a bachelors degree in animation at Sheridan College. Being one of the top five animation programs in the world, the schooling was intense and in just four years, we learned everything from character design to background illustrations to 3D modeling to life drawing and so much more. I graduated with honors and earned two awards for my thesis film.

Teaching Philosophy
My goal with every student is to provide them with the skills and knowledge needed for them to create art that they truly resonate with. Some people want to draw hyper-realistic portraits, some want to illustrate for books, and some want to create abstract pieces with paints and shapes. I believe that on top of the fundamentals, I have a vast skill set that will allow me to really attune with the specific needs of each individual.
